The Byzantine style is the style of great places of worship: monumental forms, Christian symbols, patinated solid brass. FD.STIL makes Byzantine chandeliers, polycandela and sconces for churches and cathedrals — architectural-scale pieces handmade to the canons of the genre.
The polycandelon traditionally hangs on a long chain beneath the dome, and its circular crown of lights around the rim recalls the heavenly city of Orthodox iconography. The cross, the double-headed eagle and the interlace motif are the elements that recur, cut or cast in brass.
Pieces frequently reach diameters of more than two metres and dozens of arms, which moves the discussion from aesthetics to structure: the weight, the anchor point in the vault and the lowering system for maintenance are settled with the architect before work begins. A dark patina is preferred to polished gold, because it sits naturally beside mural painting and the wood of the iconostasis.

In-stock products are delivered within 1-3 working days by courier. Made-to-order products have a lead time confirmed with the order, depending on the complexity of the model.
Can I order a custom chandelier?

Do the displayed prices include VAT?
Yes, all prices on the website include VAT and are expressed in Romanian lei (RON).
Do the products come with a certificate?
Yes, every lighting fixture comes with a certificate of authenticity and complies with the mandatory European (CE) certification for electrical products.
Where can I see the products before buying?
Products are on display in the ARTinterior store in the Baneasa Feeria shopping area (Bucharest). The FD.STIL workshop is located at 4 Ion Sahighian St., District 3, Bucharest, open Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00.
