Since 2012, FD.STIL has been the only chandelier manufacturer in Romania recognised and supported by Swarovski as a recommended partner. The status came after a long collaboration — it is not applied for, it is granted. For you it means one concrete thing: the crystal in our pieces is genuine Swarovski crystal, with everything that follows from that.
How to recognise genuine crystal
Every Swarovski crystal from 12 mm upwards carries the logo etched by laser. It cannot be rubbed off and cannot be imitated — it is the certificate of origin, on the piece itself rather than on paper.
Genuine crystal has no air bubbles and no striations, the usual faults of cheap cast glass. That is why it splits light cleanly instead of scattering it murkily.
Why it matters in a chandelier
A chandelier with poor crystal photographs well and disappoints in the room: the refraction is weak and the colours come out washed out. The difference only shows once it is lit.
The Swarovski range runs to more than 1,000 articles, in different shapes and colours. That gives us the freedom to design pieces that look like nothing in anyone else's catalogue.
Where we use it
Crystal appears mostly in the classic pieces — Marie Therese and Marie Louise — but also in modern work, where a single crystal element does the job of a whole cascade.
Any piece in the catalogue can be made with Swarovski crystal, even where the standard model comes with different glass. Just ask when you order.
Looking after it
It needs nothing special, and the individual pieces do not have to come off the frame. Dust with a dry antistatic cloth, wearing white cotton gloves so that no fingerprints are left behind.
