Photo licence

Every photograph on this site — the catalogue photographs of the pieces, the frames from the workshop, the installed work, the design drawings — is taken by us or by our employees, and the rights to them belong to F.D.Stil International Art. Below is what you may do with them without asking us, and what needs our written permission.

What you may publish without asking us

The press, architecture and design publications, academic work, and articles writing about the workshop, about our projects, or about the buildings they stand in. Three conditions:

• credit the image as “Photo: FD.STIL”;
• do not alter the image in a way that changes how the piece looks;
• where possible, link back to the page you took the photograph from.

What needs our written permission

• use in advertising, promotional material or on packaging;
• use in any online shop, catalogue or quotation, whoever it belongs to;
• reselling or redistributing the photographs as such;
• any use that could suggest the pieces are someone else's.

Reselling a piece does not grant rights to our photographs

If you resell a piece bought from us — on a marketplace, in an online gallery or at auction — our photographs do not come with the piece. The listing counts as commercial use and needs our written permission. Photograph your own piece, or ask us.

The pieces are an FD.STIL design

The light fittings in the photographs are designed and made in our workshop. Wherever they appear — a listing, a catalogue, a gallery, an article — the designer and maker are named: FD.STIL (F.D.Stil International Art), Bucharest. They may not be presented as someone else's, as coming from another workshop, or as pieces without an author.

How to request permission

Write to office@fdstil.com and tell us which photograph you are interested in and where you want to use it. We reply with the terms; most of the time it comes down to a confirmation and the credit line.

The photograph, not the building

The photographs show light fittings designed and made by us, installed in buildings that belong to others. What is written here covers the photograph itself — not the building, and not the right to photograph or film on site, which is requested from whoever manages the building.
